To close the loop on this, the dealer confirmed that it is a new battery but was removed from another bike due to upgrading to a 500 Watt battery. The scratches came from storage and he confirmed it has a max of 3 cycles charge. So all is good.
I need some help here. I bought and paid for a brand new battery and what I received does not look like a brand new battery. I did send an email out to the dealer regarding this but I wanted a second opinion. So, would you guys please suggest if this really looks like a brand new battery by...
By the way, I'm getting an Urban S RX next week!! I am replacing my non-electric bikes with electric bikes. Plus I think I am going to sell one of my motorcycle too. I will be commuting on the ebikes starting Monday. :)
Woo hoo!! This is awesome. I had a decent trip I think in 44F temperature with slight winds.
Trip Distance: 9.2 miles
Time: 31 minutes
Pedal Assist Mode: Eco and Sport mix - never went to turbo
Max speed: 32 mph down hill
I got the Xduro FS S RX from shopsandiegoflyrides for a pretty good...
Me too guys! Got a Xduro FullSeven S RX for a pretty good deal. Just got it assembled and took a 1 mile ride yesterday and it was a blast. Previously I had a RadRover and this feels like a huge upgrade. I am about to leave on a 10 mile trip in an hour. :-)
Thanks Ravi!
I spoke with a Haibike dealer locally and they told me to bring in the bike as is. That way if there is anything wrong with it, they can deal with the warranty, etc since they are the dealer. So I am going to drop it off at their place tomorrow morning on the way to work.

I thought the bike would come with some assembly instructions. But I dont see any unless if I am missing something. It was delivered a few minutes back.
Reaching out to you guys in case if you have instructions - either written in text/pdf or a video to assemble it.
Spoke with a local bike...
Yeah no worries at all. I have been a committed motorcyclist so far. Between the 2, I put around 9000 miles per year. Have heated gear that lets me ride about 11 months in a year in Seattle. I am hoping to get to that with the ebikes too. :-)
Hey Thomas,
To me brakes are extremely important. I totally agree with you when it comes to stopping power and braking distance. Might as well limit the speed and mass when you dont have the breaking power!!
I do come from a motorcycle background. Have a Honda 919 and a Yamaha R6 in the garage right now but I dont like the look of it to be honest (purely my opinion). Motorcycles look way too good compared to that thing (again that is how I feel). Sorry if I hurt your feelings...
I agree with everything that you all have said. I have come to a realization that perhaps the RadRover is not suited for my commuting needs. I need to travel 26 miles each way in the shortest time possible. The gearing makes it impossible for me to pedal it at anything > 18.5 mph for longer...
