Engwe's customer support is amazing. They even sent me a free replacement torque sensor when I had a problem. I usually get a reply within a day of contacting them.
There is a garage built into my barn, so I keep my ebike and an older bicycle in there along with various bicycle-related tools and supplies. I don't own a car so there's plenty of room for storing and repairing the bikes.
I had knee problems and what I used to call 'rheumatism' in my neck, back and hands. All the symptoms disappeared when I stopped eating any food containing gluten. That's a big list of foods that I had to give up, but I'm not about to go back to constant pain any time soon.
It might be worth a...
Don't throw the old charger away. You might be able to get someone who's handy with a soldering iron to repair it at some point, and then you'll have a backup.
My brand new Engwe L20 Boost developed a problem where the pedal assist drops out occasionally. Switching the display off then on again clears the problem... until next time.
Engwe sent me a replacement torque sensor, but I haven't had a chance to fit it yet. They didn't explain why they...
Since Schwalbe manufactured the tyre in question, it's literally their fault but they didn't want to know. That's shoddy quality control and service in my book but I guess we'll have to disagree.
Just a heads-up for anyone considering purchasing an Engwe ebike in the EU.
There is a website purporting to be the official Engwe website that is in fact nothing to do with Engwe. The address is https:// engwe (dot) eu, which looks more official than the real website address, which is...

I lived in the USA for a while and know there's a heck of a difference in customer service standards between USA and UK/Europe. The faulty tyre came from a vendor in The Netherlands, so I was dealing with Schwalbe in Germany.
I have encountered many problems dealing with German companies...
I do ride on stony surfaces a lot, but I take it easy and haven't noticed anything happen that might have caused a problem.
I sent that photo of the distorted tread pattern to Schwalbe but haven't yet received a reply. They don't seem to be the least bit interested.
Steve
I just received another Moto-X tyre that I purchased as a replacement. It came from a UK Ebay vendor and it looks identical in every respect to the first two.
I fitted it and have ridden about twelve miles on it. There are no issues as yet.
The cardboard information strip that came attached to...
There are a few reasons that I don't think it's heat distortion:
The tyre has never been subjected to abnormally high temperatures since it has been in my possession (ie, since new).
The appearance of the tread returned to normal when I deflated the tyre and took it off the bike.
That...
