We have loved the bike and ridden all over North America. On my recommendation a number of friends have also bought Ride1Up Lmt’ds. Their response to this problem makes me happy to buy from them again!

Just an FYI to all out there: Reported the problem to Ride1Up and, even though bike off warranty, they have offered my choice of shipping me a new frame or a 30% discount on any bike they sell. What great customer service!!!

Here is the broken frame. It is on the brake side of the chainstay, broken all through and all round the chainstay tube.

Not to hijack your thread, but how did you find the Schwalbe’s for ease of mounting? I had some Big Apple’s on my old ebike, a Trek Powerfly, and Super Motos on my wife’s Ride1Up Lmtd, and as good as they were to ride, they were an absolute bear to get on and off rims.

I agree with Wanders’ comments. I actually switched out my tires for some more off-road worthy knobbies (Maxxis Minions), and I find I average 35-40 mile range with them.
