concerns with ebikes laws and ways to improve them

Ride like a sane, civil person and don't worry about the laws. Been riding for over 60 years and follow the rules of the road; have no idea if there are special ones for bikes. The ones I break on a bike I also break with a motor vehcle (i.e., rolling stops)

These laws are not for enforcement. They are to help assign blame after the incident.

Sounds good as long as it means bike and pedestrian are on same road/walk/path.

    Just for fun...

Curious, has it been sitting an unusually long time? I know newer Sprinter owners that get "love messages" in less than a week. I've never got one from my 2020, but drive it at least every 2 weeks.

Depends on your needs. My brother has been very satisfied with his Ego battery saw. I think it's a 12" bar. I switched to a Husqvarna plug in when I stopped cutting in the field. 100' cord does everything I've needed for over 15 years. 16" bar. Neither do what my early 70s Homelite with 24"...

I have watched many martial arts movies and live fights. Without participating in a fight, by observing, I know it's not a direction I want to go. Becoming an expert in a craft is different than deciding on if you want to start doing it.

Wow, something we agree on. EV suitability is not one of them. I offer that experiencing sex gives better idea if it is something you want to do long term than watching a video; but a video (or any observation technique) can help explore choices. Over the years, I have watched many videos...

Washington State's new ebike laws just passed.

We just started day lights with the ebike, but have worn whatever was best for visibilty for over 60 years of riding. If in the hills or when we had the kids in a trailer we also add a flag on a 6' staff; actually 2 on the trailer.

Just like I learn from my brother's EV usage (which he loves), I've seen people get poked in the eye wit a stick and am confident I don't need to try it to see if I like it. Smart people observe and learn from others.

Hey, I apologize if I offended people with the "not real construction" comment. One of the downsides of conversations like this is the different directions they can go and people's definitions of terms. My background is in the earthmoving phase of construction projects, so once the gravel is...

?? Don't know what I said that was wrong or misleading. I thought we were aligned until you mentioned pickups might be used for the same task, or be in an excavation area. If I get down to the area, I'll snap some pictures of pickups parked in the same road excavation site as rollers and...

Thank you Mr. Obvious. Fairly fluent in OSHA (and MSHA) and Forestry regulations. Used to carry all appropriate safety gear in my truck/Suburban even if on family vacation so I could get on any site (without family) at any time of day. My favorite sites were forestry; MSHA rules are...

I agree that is true for some. Hopefully they are smart enough to not play "keep up with the neighbors". Some probably have sufficient $ they don't think about if it makes financial sense and just "do it". It's unfortunate that is true for way to many people.

Why not say "no Chinese EVs" like I've read is possible?
