I suspect hub vs mid matters less than the quality of the components, maintenance etc. You carry a repair kit for chain breakage and flats? You've done each at your base? On the road is no time to learn! Be interesting to see what others think.

Can you tone down the color and size? (default works fine, and is less likely to lead to blocking...) My eyes are smarting....

What does your battery show after a ride? It would be helpful if you posted more details - what Bosch system? What bike? What battery? How old? Ride circumstances (elevation change, power level etc.?) Battery level measurement is a pretty simple technology - basically measuring the voltage...

Just went to the Trek USA website. For us regular riders, doesn't seem to be much new? Did not look at mountain bikes. Bosch's new system seems to be MIA in the under $5K bikes, for example. Am I missing something?

Take a look at Evelo's offerings. A few here, including Alaskan, give them high marks, especially their top of line ones like Atlas and Omega. Personally, I avoid winter riding in my area because going down a heavily sanded steep hill is not my cup of tea. OTOH, some of the hills near my house...

Yes, of course, but most hubs are now sealed bearings. BTW, I first had sealed hubs back in the 1970s when I built a set of analog wheels with phil wood hubs.

I have to put chains on my snowblower to get it to move into the snow we have here, and that's just to get a bite for the auger. Plowing? No way with that rig. But it sure looks cute! Edit: viewed the video in the link. He got it to plow 2-3 inches of snow. Why bother? And the headline...
