Great write up. I'm envious so do please make that worse by posting some pictures! Always interesting to see bikes in situ in the landscape where you ride.
First reports from Taipei. China Cycling YT channel specialises in reviewing & selling Chinese components frames etc mostly for road bikes.
And Velo magazine - Neither is e bike specific but I find this stuff interesting.
There will probably be loads of other YT reviews from the show...
Same. And Seth is entertaining. Not my favourite but he's a good presenter.
And of all the topics covered on this venerable site valves must be the dullest hill to die on.
Yeah Vado SL owner 4+ years and never a bother. Not exactly gentle with them on rough roads and gravel. I do have tyres with a lot of squish however. But as it's only an SL 4.0 I have marvelled at how tough these wheels are.
To happen once is just one of those things, twice is pretty unusual...
Yeah I've a drawer full of spare tubes. Still have a couple 26er mtbs and pretty sure I have presta & schrader tubes in there for them. Thing is most pumps come with 2 interchangeable connectors so it's never an issue and I've never fussed over which I use as long as they work. Even have a...
Back in the 80s it was more clear cut. Road bikes = Presta and mountain bikes = schrader. I took it was because the 700c x 19 or 22mm tyres or tubulars were smaller and delicate and high pressure & of course European standards. MTB was American and the schrader valves seemed more robust for off...
Here's another cheap-ish drop bar hub motor ebike I just saw about. This one from Poland; EcoBike Forest. Not sure if they sell where you are, especially with Mr. Orange's love of tariffs. But it looks a good solid package. Nice drive train, tyres etc...
Looks a good package & low price. Powerful motor decent spec for price and full waterproofing. Prices are getting more sensible & with much more choice. Only a couple of years ago there was nothing really rideable mid drive under €2k.

Good looking bike. Side by side is interesting, it's a lot fatter. Certain loss of elegance I think! Price for bigger battery, chunkier wheels & tyres. But you get more grunt for sure.
I'm always surprised when bike shops are a bit underwhelming when purchasing an expensive bike. It's like...
That Dji motor will be appearing next in another (and pretty unknown) Chinese brand called Teewing!

Sounds like the DJI motor could launch dozens of new Chinese emtb brands a la Chinese cars.
Good...
Great review. At this point:
The e-bike felt like it were a suit sewn by a tailor for me. The riding position was moderate and comfortable. I felt I could pedal the e-bike for many hours without fatigue.
I thought Bingo! That's it! He's definitely buying one.
Then at this point:
If you are...
What tyre is it? I have them with WTB Byways 44mm. They work fine - but it totally depends on the tyre, and knobs etc. 45mm is at the edge of fitting I think.
SKS also do a similar mudguard for mtbs might be worth looking at them. Called Veloflex - it might be too wide, but perhaps worth a look.
