Had a few rides now, and still happy with quietness and they sure seem efficient in regards to battery usage.
That is of course an unscientific opinion compared to my Maxxis Assegai and Dissector combo (on my other wheelset).
I suppose I could do a proper efficiency study/comparison, but I...
Coming to this discussion really late, but it came up yesterday with a riding friend who uses Strava. I pointed out to him that he was not using E-Bike as the activity and he didn't know how to change it.
He wasn't trying to cheat - he was just unawares of way the app worked.
The only thing...
Rode on the eRuban tires today - first ride on new hip (6 weeks ago).
As it was a very cautious ride, can't comment too much on grip, but they seemed to be very quiet and efficient.
Time will tell but as a first impression, I think it was very similar to my feelings about my first ride with...
Bumping this thread with a focused question.
I am going to need hip protection for a hip replacement done a few weeks ago.
I have a bike liner I really like and don't really want to go all out with a replacement with pads if I don't need to.
Here's what I am looking at with their full liner...
I didn't take it that way.
Update on tires:
I bought the eRuban's today. $117 Canadian all in (with a 10% discount code).
I pick 'em up on Wednesday, but won't likely use them until April.
Doing some leisurely spins on stationary bike as I am on day 16 post hip replacement.
I am considering...
Should almost start a "favorite classic sandwich" thread in the Off-Topic area. Not one-off specialty stuff that are never replicated from place to place but things like Rueben's or Monte Cristos or ??.
Really good shop in Cochrane, just outside of Calgary. I bought my Fathom there.
In the local business awards, they've won best bike shop at least once.
I'm a fan, but it means I have to drive a car to get there, where as there's a number of shops I hop on my bike to get there.
Off topic:
It...
Local shops are pricing ($CDN) the 2.3 eRuban Plus at $55-62 and the 2.6 at $67. Not stocked though - but as hip was done last Wednesday, don't need the tires for a while.
I looked at Fortnine too as they used to have really good prices on body armour, and I am going to be using hip protection...
Checking in on the eRuban tires. Still positive results?
I am going to be riding again soon (new hip - whole left leg done now) and I'll be more focused on pavement for this season.
Won't do JW again for current political/trade reasons (no further comment) but a European based tire company...
I've texted him - If he has his phone on roaming he'll get it, and if using a dual setup (travel eSim in his phone, like I do), he may as well.
Otherwise he won't until he returns to Canada.
Art is not really a big "attached to his phone" in my experiences, so he may in fact just be "running...
Just got back from an extended trip (50 days) which included a trans-Pacific cruise from Vancouver to Auckland NZ.
Had two rides in there, one in San Francisco and one in Napier NZ.
First - SF. Photos in no particular order,
And now Napier, on Hawkes Bay in New Zealand...
@Prairie Dog - looks like same brand of vehicles (in fact - perhaps exactly the same).
Jeeps...They never were on my shopping list, but definitely not now.
Well I guess it's rollover season here in Alberta.
Just out for a quick ride to a friends and back - maybe 10 minutes on bike.
From in front of my house when I got home.
White truck in background involved.
I think Jeep was turning left from our alley and truck was going west from our corner...
