TBH I hadn't thought about the overheating concept. My charger lived in this hanger even whilst charging. It seems that may have been the problem. Warning to others who may have one?

I had your problem a couple of years ago on my Vado SL 4 and Specialized replaced the whole motor after a complaint by my LBS. It arrived a week later and was fitted. Apparently Specialized then discovered it could be tightened up!🤣

I live in North Wales and keep my Vado SL in a concrete detached garage. In winter the inside of the window has ice on it. I ride all year around. For three years the bike has survived unprotected. You can buy one of these if you so wish...
