Thanks for answering my query. Turns out that the cable covers rust easily creating tons of friction. I replaced the cable and cover and things are back to normal. Same thing happened to my rear brake cable so that's on today's to-do list.
I'd like to replace the rear derailleur and shifter on my 2018 RadCity ST. Due to a weakness in my right thumb it's difficult to downshift. Can you recommend any derailleur/shifter combinations that don't require as much effort to change gears?
