Front Hub Motor with Steel ebike Fork on Dual Suspension?

Hi, I have a dual suspension mountain bike that I’d like to electrify with a 36V 350W front hub geared motor with a compatible steel ebike fork. Granted, the removal of the front suspension fork makes the bike a soft-tail, but I only have a front hub motor, and the real strength of this...

Square Trade Warranty-Any Experiences to Share?

I feel comfortable generally with Square Trade but I was curious as to any individual experiences with ebike warranty claims. I definitely see your point that they generally are good about addressing warranty issues. Thanks for your help.

Square Trade Warranty-Any Experiences to Share?

I’m considering purchasing a $50 3-year Square Trade Warranty (STW) for a new Sondors X I just purchased on eBay. Does anyone have any experiences or advice regarding STWs with respect to a Sondors ebike, or any other ebike for that matter? I did a search here on EBR and didn’t see any direct...

    Radrunner lcd display alternatives?

Sorry if this is slightly off-topic, but I have an Overfly ebike with an SW-LCD display that I want to swap out for a color display. Does anyone know if the KT-LCD8H can be swapped for the SW-LCD. Again sorry if this is too far afield but I saw that the SW-LCD was mentioned...

    Fat Bike 48V 500W+ 190mm Rear Wheel-Recommendations?

Thanks for the suggestions-the EBR video was enlightening as to how far customization can go so it was a good primer. The "less spendy" options" are more my speed, but your suggestions confirmed my initial research...Thanks again!

    Fat Bike 48V 500W+ 190mm Rear Wheel-Recommendations?

I have a Cannondale Fat CAAD 3 and want to add a 48V 500W+ 190mm Rear Wheel preferably with a geared drive hub motor. I already have a lot of ebike conversion parts from a previous build so a wheel only is good but open to a full conversion kit in the right circumstance. Also not trying to break...

Multi-use Battery for Different Voltage Hub Motors???

Yes that’s exactly what I’d like to do get a battery pack and a second battery cradle/holder then just swap a solid single 48V battery instead of purchasing multiple “mediocre” ones... I think it might work with a 48V 15Ah battery maybe I’ll increase the Amp hours if I can find a good value...

Multi-use Battery for Different Voltage Hub Motors???

Thanks for the further explanation. These are the controllers I hope to use (Model S9-61(500W/25A) and Model S6-61(350W/15A)) both of which show "Battery Voltage: 24/36/48V." Are these both then considered "tri-voltage" controllers because the 3 voltages are presented??? And if I can go with a...

Multi-use Battery for Different Voltage Hub Motors???

Thanks. So for example I can use a 1000W battery on my48V 500W motor but it must be a 48V battery, you cannot use any other battery voltage other than the designated motor and controller voltage. So I guess it’s 2 batteries if I decide to build both bikes...

Multi-use Battery for Different Voltage Hub Motors???

I have an opportunity to build two different ebike conversion kits (one with a front wheel 36V 350W motor and the other with a rear wheel 48V 500W motor). Given the opportunity, is there any way I can purchase a single battery pack (and an additional battery cradle) and be able to swap a single...

Battery for 48v 500w rear motor geared ebike conversion kit?

I was thinking about this from my Newbie "jigsaw puzzle" perspective and wondered whether the following could work together: 1) a 250W-350W controller that states on it that it is a "24v/36V/48V controller" with a 2) 36V 350W hub motor using a 3) 48V 10Ah battery (for 350W or 500W) Would this...
