Ah yes, cycling the "Kank" is a rite of passage for NH cyclists. My husband and I did it about 6 years ago (pre-e-bike). We went west to east, stayed overnight in Conway, and cycled back the next day. We had good weather and not too much traffic; the downhills after the peak were amazing even if...
MdgColorado: I do use side loading water bottle cages for both bottles. The cage on the seat tube is made by Topeak, is easily removable, and slides off with a quick press. But I haven't removed the battery in a long time; I just charge it on the bike. It is now my 4th season with this bike and...
Hi Anthony, I just happened on your post when I was looking something up for someone else. Apparently it's a common problem - I found this on-line

Thanks for your answer! This also helps me answer some questions that I've had from some e-bike wannabes. ;) The WTB Byway tires look very similar to the WTB Expanse 32c with the exception that the 47 tires have a little knobby on the outside edge in addition to being wider. The smooth center...
carsonjones: A question just out of curiosity... I know that you have both 700c tires and wheels and 650b wheels with wider tires and that you can hot-swap between the two sets on your Synapse Neo 1. Do you do this often, or do you find that you are mostly leaving one set of tires/wheels on the...
Angryrice_esq: Great review! I also have the Cannondale Synapse Neo 1 and this is my second riding season with it. I also had a flat from a sizeable shard of glass at 100 miles, which was a bit disturbing, but haven't had one since. I decided I really liked the tires on the mix of dirt and...
This is actually my husband's problem with his bike, but I thought one of you might be able to help. Here's what he says: "I have an ICE trike with a Rohloff hub and Shimano Steps E6100 electric assist. I really like riding it but I am having persistent ongoing problems with the motor. When...
Hello Goodleg: My husband rides an e-trike because of balance problems. He got an ICE e-trike from The Bicycleman in Alfred Station, NY. That shop deals in recumbents and trikes and may not be too much of a drive for you depending on where you live in PA. It might be worth checking out. Welcome...
Thanks for your reply! I have the Active Line Plus on a Cannondale Neo 1 e-bike, so I guess this software update does not affect me. I have been having fun going down the torque/power rabbit hole trying to learn about how torque limits affect riding when applying high torques and low pedal...
I posted this question in another thread, but it may be more appropriate here. I have a Cannondale Synapse Neo 1 e-bike with an Active Line Plus motor and Purion display. I have heard that there is a software update that increases torque and/or power. I am happy with the current motor/Purion...
Question: I am happy with the current motor/Purion controller settings. Does the torque increase mean that it will use more battery in any given assist setting? If so, it seems as if the range will decrease even if you use ECO for your whole ride. Is this true?
