Cube cross hybrid pro 500: was this the right choice for me?

Cube cross hybrid pro 500: 2.5 years later and 3000 mile update. The speed sensor went out at about 2200 miles. The battery is showing loss of charge capacity by about a 20%. Rear brake pad and tire replaced. Still having a lot of fun though.

Cube cross hybrid pro 500: was this the right choice for me?

Slightly past 1 year of ownership, I am now at just above 1600 miles on the odometer. I've really become one with this bike and grown much more confident taking on some of the rough trails here in Washington and Oregon. At the same time, this bike also allows me a gentle and pleasurable...

    Cube vs Cube vs Cube

Ultimately, it is the rider and his/her riding preferences and style. I have Cube cross 500 and I have found that after 1200 miles of riding, I am not a distance rider. At my age (62) my rear end gives out before the battery does! My rides are more like 20~25 miles so a 500 watt battery never...

Cube cross hybrid pro 500: was this the right choice for me?

As I've gotten more and more used to my Cube Cross Hybrid Pro, I've become more aggressive in my trail riding. Nothing crazy, mind you - after all it is Cross bike and not a full eMTB. However a big part of this has been the addition of a Suntour suspension seat post. It's no substitute for...

My one complaint: Cube Cross hybrid Pro

Yes, it is "Self inflicted": Both sides of the rear frame where my shoe heal rubs against the frame periodically. The other area is near the front fork from a one time use on my bike rack. My fault but way too easily damaged in my opinion: I've had cheap bikes that didn't mar this easily. ☹

Follow up: Rear rack installed and no more shifting fender problem!

My one complaint: Cube Cross hybrid Pro

As an otherwise extremely happy owner of a Cube Cross hybrid Pro 500, I do have an issue with what seems to be a rather noticeable tendency for the paint finish to easily scuff and wear off. I have the matte green and orange trim finish which I find sexy and unique but after just 300 miles, the...

Cube cross hybrid pro 500: was this the right choice for me?

Yes, I have the rear rack on order and was hoping it would alleviate the problem once installed. Thanks.

Cube cross hybrid pro 500: was this the right choice for me?

So as someone new to ebiking, choosing the right ebike was a real struggle. As an older rider, I needed more comfort; less aggressive posture, softer seat, comfortable grips, etc, but the inner kid in me also wanted the fun factor in riding. So after tons of research, I decided on the Cube...

    Parking in Japan

I think even in the US, dense urban centers, shopping malls, movie theaters, sports venues, etc, will find this concept profitable and successful. If I were to ride my expensive ebike to such places, a few bucks to protect my ride so I can enjoy myself without any worries would be well worth it.

So far, the Cube Cross has excelled on steep trails as well as on general hardtop riding. I had mine customized for comfort; wider/softer seat, raised/adjustable stem for a more neutral posture, and upgraded grips. It is so far a great "all rounder" that has not failed me in any respect.

E-Bikes in Japan - just a little article

I spend a lot of time in Japan and love the bike culture there. Their use of bikes are often necessitated by the lack of parking spaces for cars. Even in suburban areas, most Japanese homes can only accommodate one car (often barely one). Thus the utility bike is like a second car for...

Just purchased my first ebike: Cube cross hybrid pro 500 Allroad. So far it has been a blast; riding it makes me feel decades younger! Looking forward to new adventures.
