Reention Dorado 48v 17.5AH - BMS Help needed

I can see that you are more advanced than me when it comes to controller wiring mods! I am starting to learn how i can convert a mass-produced controller with Julet plugs for the OXYGEN motor and display. Do you have any links to info on this as regards the motor 9pin (e.g. - the 3 Hall wires...

Reention Dorado 48v 17.5AH - BMS Help needed

I feel for sure that you are right - it was the rain but with a delayed action. If only i had disconnected the battery or brought the bike in the warm instead of putting it away wet then the problem probably would have been averted. I did have some good luck today as managed to get a generous...

Reention Dorado 48v 17.5AH - BMS Help needed

The top 2 pictures show the original Reention BMS with B-, P-, C- clearly showing on both sides of board, yet copying these locations faithfully worked on the first replacement briefly (too lower rating i believe but worth a try) and didn't work at all on the second. EDIT - i can't believe it...

Reention Dorado 48v 17.5AH - BMS Help needed

Thanks for your reply, it's definitely the Controller having swapped everything but this* - the mystery is that both controllers (ultimately) failed in the same manner. *could not have been more thorough - 3 different batteries/brand new display/brand new "4 into 1" front wiring. Fault shows...

Reention Dorado 48v 17.5AH - BMS Help needed

I am struggling to send single pictures to my PC (which is my only connection with EBR at the moment) but i will try and login on phone in the future. I still haven't solved the main mystery - i.e :- why my BMS is connected to the POSITIVE end of the ganged battery pack (all my studying of...

Is it possible to repair Reention battery power button (with LED lights)?

I'm glad that we have a few Reention Dorado people onboard as can only help each other when problem solving, plus instills confidence (for me anyway). While stripped out of casing, i would really appreciate any shots of the BMS end of the battery to physically confirm the wire runs for -P,-B...

Reention Dorado 48v 17.5AH - BMS Help needed

I'm sure you are right, although it's a mystery as to how the original BMS ever worked (as explained in last post) with all 3 connections showing "minus" on the board, i now need to re-wire my battery connection according to the majority of diagrams i've looked at, in the hope that this will work.

Reention Dorado 48v 17.5AH - BMS Help needed

Thank you for your reply, it's helpful to know i'm possibly not the only one. I did try and track down the BMS part number but with no luck. It is a mystery because looking at the nomenclature on the original BMS, all 3 connections are clearly marked "-" (minus) and so i obviously copied this...

Is it possible to repair Reention battery power button (with LED lights)?

I feel your pain Sandro, i hope someone comes along soon with specific help. I have a similar battery (4 in truth) with identical body and end-caps, but i can't help you with this one as mine has different ancilliaries.

Reention Dorado 48v 17.5AH - BMS Help needed

Hi All I managed to find a second one of these at a reasonable price with a failed BMS. All cells check out well and case/plugs/ancilliaries all useful but struggling to find a new BMS. Not only this, but it appears that my wiring is unusual in that i have a stout wire coming direct from...

you're entitled to your opinion of course, and I mine - i.e. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR is a nonsense statement. I will make a point of coming back here after covering some miles over the next year, and we will see if it was good value, but until that time, then I and particularly you - (you...

SeriOUsly, I was thinking that you might so as members might be more likely to take your advice rather than short quip-type replies that don't help in the slightest - "you get what you pay for" is totally meaningless bunkum. I've paid a small fortune for items in the past that have turned out to...
