Upgrade completed today so all is good now. I've seen that this is the case elsewhere (EU) so it looks like they've rolled it out to all regions.

Some users are experiencing issues with this update. Bike will be in downloading (or verifying) it will not complete and display install prompt. Mine has been like this for 2 weeks. Stromer has issued an alert and is working on the issue.

So far so good on the ST3. Pinion real smooth and quiet, less drag I would say. But you're right it will be interesting, along with being back on a hub motor. Last two bikes have been mid drive. Missed the regen a bit on my Bionx, liked it for the down hill braking more than anything else...

Before retirement, almost 4 years ago, it was closer to 16K a year. Retirement has slowed me down 😁. Put more miles on my car shopping for replacement Saturday than I had all year.

If you're looking for (IMHO) great rain wear check out taigaworks.ca. Jackets, pants, shoe covers, helmet covers, over gloves, gators they've got just about all you need, unless you have big feet, the shoe covers max out size 11.5. Not the cheapest but you know the saying.

Rear sprocket is relatively easy as well. There's a retaining ring that holds the sprocket. Undo and it comes off. Just did both and a new belt today. Discovered a few teeth on the old belt coming off, just before a trip tomorrow. Glad I checked!

You might want to check the wear on the front and rear sprockets, ideally you should change them out when replacing the belt. I compared my existing sprockets with a new set @24,000 kms and the wear is pretty obvious. Not doing so will likely reduce the life of replacement belt.

I've got over 21,000 kms so far on my E14 and other than some minor oil seepage in very hot weather all's well.

16 months and over 17,000 kms on my CX based R&M, -motor has not missed a beat. Hopefully if anything goes it'll be before the 2 year warranty has expired.

It caused the teeth to be stripped from the belt. I've used CRC brand a couple of times over the last year with no issue. I picked up some WD40 brand "multi surface" the other day, used it last Saturday, 20 hours later on a test ride before my planner trip the teeth started to strip away. The...
