BH / Dapu M155 freehub, parts and maintenance?

Finally approaching an impasse with this motor at around 16 000 km, since the bearing behind the stator circuit/winding board can't be accessed without some destructive force. Recently this bearing started to make a metallic rubbing or bearing noise, so I opened the motor to discover that the...

Evo Jumper 27,5 battery charger connector

I got the above parts from Farnell, and I can confirm that the connectors are the same as on my ~2015 BH EV765 bike. They're even made by Singatron just like the originals even though the Farnell site says Multicomp-PRO. Total cost with shipping was around 30 eur.

Evo Jumper 27,5 battery charger connector

Just out of curiosity I ordered the connector cable 2CT3016-W03402: https://www.farnell.com/datasheets/3217299.pdf And the panel mount socket 2CT3020-W034A1: https://www.farnell.com/datasheets/3217300.pdf I'll update this post with pictures when I receive them.

Evo Jumper 27,5 battery charger connector

Thanks man! Been looking for that name for eight years (seriously!). Now that you said the maker's name, it took me about two seconds to find the Singatron 3-pin connector on my BH Evo available to buy...

Known Issues & Problems with Easy Motion Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

A note about BH chargers with detachable AC cords: my 8-year-old EVO 36V charger started acting up. It would shut off after a couple minutes of charging, making a relay clicking sound and the red light just went off. I tried greasing all the DC-side contacts with dielectric spray, and wiggled...

BH / Dapu M155 freehub, parts and maintenance?

Sorry for the late reply, and sorry about your troubles. I had the suspicion that BH wouldn't be too keen on helping their end users with spare parts, as I've tried contacting their Spain HQ directly about some issues and they've never responded even once. You could try contacting Dapu directly...

Winter battery cover FLIR One measurements.

Sounds a bit over engineered. And I think those hand warmers are also like 5W, so pretty useless when your hand already puts out tens of Watts. For the extra battery, I'd maybe try a hauling it in a backpack, and pack the battery in it so it's close to your back, and insulate it towards the...

Winter battery cover FLIR One measurements.

When the bike shuts off, muscle power is all you have. And these mid motors like Bosch, with small front chainrings and an internal reduction of etc. 1:2.5 (where the chainring spins 2.5 times per crank revolution) , can feel somewhat sluggish to pedal unassisted. I can only say from my own...

Winter battery cover FLIR One measurements.

The range estimates can be way off, since there are so many variables to consider. When asked for real world range estimates, I usually recommend this somewhat pessimistic and not at all scientific formula for various e-bikes: Watt hours (Wh) of energy in battery divided by nominal wattage of...

Winter battery cover FLIR One measurements.

A motor cover, absolutely not. Heat kills electric motors and their efficiency, so if anything they'll run better in the cold. Mid drives also usually incorporate the motor (power) controller into their casing, so heat from the motor AND the controller wrapped in a layer of insulation would be...

BH / Dapu M155 freehub, parts and maintenance?

I think the service-life stated in Dapu's documents for this type of motor is 30 000km, and that's probably when you'd have to replace the plastic gears in the planet gear, but they don't sell spares, so you'd have to bin the motor. But 30 000km is pretty decent with no service, and for an...

throttle override on easy motion bikes?

Looks good @Pablo L ! Driving the 5V through the button to bypass the input from the sensor might work, but I think after the controller calibrates the "no torque" position on every boot, it also expects "wiggle" from the signal, so a flat voltage will be ignored after a couple seconds, so you...

Easy Motion / EVO display broken clip fix

Easy Motion corrected this in the newer display, as seen in Court's review (picture below). So five digits and one decimal in the new display, or 99 999,9 km/mi. https://electricbikereview.com/easy-motion/evo-29/

Easy Motion / EVO display broken clip fix

Well, two years and eight months to be more precise. But thanks, Mr. "did the same in a month" ;) Though if you count the long snowy winters here, the bike has gotten way more abuse than two and a half years' worth. I'm very happy with the real world savings and quality of life the bike has...

Easy Motion / EVO display broken clip fix

Here it is, 9999 -> 0000 km. Unfortunately it rounded up from 9999.8 straight to 0000.0 so I didn't get a 9999.9 shot. I'm just glad the system didn't crash with an error or something. :D
