I have almost 900 miles on my Dmo2 and I weigh 230lbs and I have no issues getting over 20mph even on grocery runs. As long as you use your gears correctly it will be more than enough. If you can get the offset chain ring so you don't have any chain line issues.
I have 450 miles on my Dmo2 on my Jamis Sequel S3 and so far I really like it. It is a little louder than my Tsdz2 with OSF but not anything I am bothered by. I am already planning a second one.
It feels more powerful than my Tsdz2b with osf. I need to get a programing cable to update the firmware though, The motor doesn't reengage fast enough after you stop and then start pedaling again and there is a run on after stopping.
Congrats on the new bike! I was surprised that you actually got a hold of someone at Kona to begin with honestly. Thankfully I can take it to the shop if I have a problem.
