    Phone Mount Suggetions?

My story goes back before I bought an e-bike. My wife and I own ATVs and a UTV. Several years ago I started looking for a Garmin for it and bought a Garmin Zumo XT, which is a motorcycle GPS. It uses a 1 inch RAM mount. The equipment is only one piece of the equation, though. You still need...

Anyone have separate phone for bike accessories?

No, at least not yet. I am glad that you posted this and happy that I found your post. A bit of background on me and my hobbies. My wife and I had horses for years, but now we travel in our RV and ride both ATV/UTVs and e-bikes. I bought a Garmin Zumo XT several years ago for ATVing before we...

Do You Wear A Cap Underneath Your Bicycle Helmet?

I wear a helmet when I ride my bicycles, but I have never worn a cap underneath. I am considering it, however.

How Often And How Long Are Class 3 E-Bikes Traveling At More Than 20 MPH?

At the risk of pointing out the obvious, under U.S. law, police officers must have either reasonable suspicion of a traffic/equipment violation or probable cause that a crime has been committed to stop a vehicle. These temporary detentions are considered "seizures" under the Fourth Amendment...

On my ride this morning, I saw two women on a surrey quadricycle. Are they legal to ride on trails and bicycle paths in your areas?

How Often And How Long Are Class 3 E-Bikes Traveling At More Than 20 MPH?

As the debates continue in many places about e-motos and Class 1, 2, and 3 e bikes it made me wonder: How often and how long are Class 3 e-bikes traveling at more than 20 MPH? My wife and I have a Gazelle Ultimate C380+. They are Class 3 e-bikes. Despite that, we are often pedaling under 20...

Everyday is Bike to Work Day?

One of the things that baffles me is how many people use tobacco. I asked Google: "If everybody in the world stopped tobacco use how many lives could be saved?" That number is astounding. I live in Minnesota in the United States. Our total population is under 6 million. So, more people could be...

Everyday is Bike to Work Day?

I retired over a year ago, so it is just a hobby for me, too. I got into amateur radio as an adult. Growing up where I did on a farm in rural Minnesota, I would have had to travel to Saint Paul to take a test at the FCC office. I did have some CB radios, including one that was single-sideband...

How an Electric Motorbike Made LA Feel Smaller, Easier and More Fun

The article does talk about legality. I am not familiar with California laws, so I don't know if the author got everything correct. https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/las-shortest-trips-are-its-most-annoying-onyx-rcr-80v

Rambo Krusader 2.0 Battery Won't Release?

I have a Rambo Krusader 2.0. Yesterday, after my ride, I tried to remove the battery, but the latch wouldn't release the battery. Has anybody else ran into this issue? I called Rambo Customer Support and they suggested that it might be the latch on the battery. I was able to remove that battery...

    User Selectable E-Bike Class.

While I can't answer that, I do know that when I am riding my Class 3, if I get to 28 MPH, I no longer get pedal assist. Why couldn't the throttle couldn't be disabled once it is switched to Class 1 or Class 3?

    User Selectable E-Bike Class.

This is what we have in Minnesota. As I interpret it, a multiple mode electric-assisted bicycle is permitted in Minnesota. Minnesota Statutes §169.011 Subd. 27 Subd. 27.Electric-assisted bicycle. (a) "Electric-assisted bicycle" means a bicycle with two or three wheels that: (1) has a...
