Something strange I've noticed my last few rides on my CCS - when I apply the front brake, I hear what sounds like electrical discharge/static noise coming from below, probably wherever the controller is hidden away. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

@Andy_in_CA did you settle on a charger? I'm considering getting one for work, as well. I can get home on a single charge after my 20 mile commute, but as the charge decreases, so does the power output.
