CCS owners who have changed the length of your chain

Yeah the chain drops - for me, on the right side between the guard and the chain ring - are a major pain in the ass on my CCS. Thanks for posting the video above, @ebubar - I'm going to give this KMC 9 speed 116L chain a try. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001AYJF2E/

    CCS owners - average speed?

I use my CCS for a 9 mile commute (14.5km) each way, with slightly less elevation gain as yours. The speed of the motor varies depending on how much juice is in the battery. If I don't top off the battery at work, the speed of the bike drops off about half way through my evening commute. On a...

[CCS] Electrical "static" sound when applying front brake

Oh, interesting - is your other bike an e-bike? Are you saying that you don't think it has to do with the electrical system at all?

[CCS] Electrical "static" sound when applying front brake

Something strange I've noticed my last few rides on my CCS - when I apply the front brake, I hear what sounds like electrical discharge/static noise coming from below, probably wherever the controller is hidden away. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

    CCS battery charger compatibility?

@Andy_in_CA did you settle on a charger? I'm considering getting one for work, as well. I can get home on a single charge after my 20 mile commute, but as the charge decreases, so does the power output.

    CrossCurrent S - New Model

Neither the facebook nor reddit posts are mine. Took my CCS on its inaugural ride today, just a 6 miler around town. Rear derailleur tension needs tuning - kept skipping gears, or would shift after hitting a bump. The roads in my immediate area are too shitty to go full speed for long -- tires...

    CrossCurrent S - New Model

My CCS arrived today. Everything looks good out of the box. No damage, wheels are mostly true and spokes are tight, which is nice for a bike in a box. Battery looks mostly charged, too. Just topping it off now while I perform the installation of the front wheel, pedals and light. None of the...

    CrossCurrent S - New Model

Sounds exactly like my situation. I'll be replacing a single-speed steel frame. It'll be different :)

Do you lug your kids along on your ebike?

Good point about the dual kickstand - I'll have to pick one up. I'm considering a trailer, especially since I found the rear-mounted bike seat brought the weight distribution too far back for my liking. Good to know that the class 1 motor handles the trailer. Anything will be better than...

Do you lug your kids along on your ebike?

Hey all, I'm eagerly awaiting my first ebike (Juiced CC S), which will be replacing a single-speed city bike now that I'm living out in the burbs. I've used a Thule RideAlong (seat tube mounted) child bike seat on my previous bike, and would like to know what people here are using to carry...

    Juiced post-sales suckage

Up until recently, Juiced's website order form for the CrossCurrent (non-S) said it would be converted to a pre-order for the S. So I emailed sales and was told I could get the S - I just had to pay for the current CC that's $200 more. I jumped aboard, sight-unseen, paying $1800. Five days...
