How to determine battery % charge off-bike

Thanks you all for your reply. I just checked my XP and I get the following static measurements: Multi-meter = 49.6 v Controller = 50.4 v I typically ride only 5-10 miles per day (every day) so I only charge to 70-80%. I am pleased to see that the controller measured voltages is within 1.6 %...

Could we expect firmware updates for our bikes?

You may be able to back into a watt hour figure for the 48 v 10.4 amp-hour battery but is that really necessary? The XP fully charged is 54.6 v, I assume that the battery has 10.4 amp hours of energy at that point. But it is not all usable as you can't (shouldn't) discharge to zero energy...

Could we expect firmware updates for our bikes?

I also use smart plugs connected to my iphone. The charger for XP stock charger charges at about 2.5 volts per hour. So I set the plug timer to bring me to 51.5 to 52 volts. Say 49 v + 2.5 volts = 51.5 volts; set for 1 hour.

How long should a stock XP last?

I saw a thread today about frying the controller on an XP after messing with light upgrades and others members mentioning motor issues. I have left my XP electrical components stock. My only upgrades are bolt on (seat, suspension seat post, flashing rechargeable lights, bell, lock). So are...

There is lot's of great bike trails in Newport Beach. I linked a yelp article on the voted ten best trails but the detail in yelp is not great. I find that the app, Alltrails, is awesome for finding great hiking, biking and kayaking trails around the world. I purchased a life time...

Placed order for 2 XP eBikes Aug 27th.

I found that the stock charger recovers 2.5 volts per hour so I just use a smart plug to time the charge and then turn off at my target voltage ; seems to work well for me at $5 for a smart plug. Please let me know how it works. Thanks, John
