    Aluminum Bike and Steel Fork

My bike is aluminum but has steel fork and I would like to put a 500w Bafang front motor on it. I prefer front motors on my ebikes because I can have AWD when I pedal the rear wheel. I know this forum is against using front motors on aluminum bikes but if my bike has a steel fork would it be...

    Advice On Building a 2nd E-Bike

The first e-bike I build was a Yuba Mundo cargo bike. I put a Bafang 48V 500w front motor hub on it and love the 2WD aspect of it since I use my own feet to power the rear wheels. I have it paired up with a 52V 12ah battery, it can hit 25mph with lots of pedaling. For my 2nd bike, I would like...

First e-bike build thoughts and throttle only.

Anyone using throttle only on their bikes without installing PAS? If so, what are your experiences with it? Also, why so many members are against front motor kits? I read some of their experieces but they all had PAS installed and used it in the wet, when the front tire lost traction and they...

    Front Torque Arm Installation Feedback.

Thank you for the advice, gentlemen. The front motor is a Bafang 500w motor and the bike is a Yuba Mundo Classico. If I am reading this correctly, the lawyer u-clip is the first thing that goes on the axle? Right now I have a washer and then the u-clip. Now that I look at it the two front...

    Front Torque Arm Installation Feedback.

I just finished installing two torque arms on my front fork but need feedback on if it's installed correctly (the position of the two metal brackets). Also, I need advice on how to mount the two missing items that I have left. One looks like washer that is cut in the middle and the other...

    Installtion Questions

    1) When mounting a front wheel motor kit, should the wire to power the hub face up or face down? I'm thinking down so water has a hard time getting into it. 2) I bought two torque arms to install on my front steel fork. Should I mount them in such a way that they are facing towards me...

    Installing Brakes

My Bafang front 500 watt kit just came in the other day. It came with two hand brakes that have a wire that plugs into the controller. Am I supposed to install the electric brake on the left side of the handlebars (for the front brake) or on the right side for the rear brake? Or am I supposed...

Will This Tire Fit on This Rim?

I see, what's a good front tire in 2.25 size? Also, is there going to be a huge difference between a 2.15 and 2.25 tire? If not, I might as well get the Big Apple in 2.15 size, what do you guys think?

Will This Tire Fit on This Rim?

I'm going to be purchasing Bafang 500w front electric kit that comes with a rim stating that it will fit a tire 1.5" to 2.25" (second photo in the link below) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07N3Y2HPG/?coliid=IM406UIGV8PO3&colid=1SYDWH66RTUXX&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it After doing a lot of...

    Yuba Mundo Classic 14mm Axle

I'm looking to purchase a rear hub motor for my Yuba Mundo Classic. I'm thinking of going with one of these two kits: BAFANG Rear Wheel 500W 48V https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07H7D5TNV/?coliid=I3CYDJY2HO2RQD&colid=1SYDWH66RTUXX&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it or Electric Bike Kit 26inch Rear Hub...

Solid Full Fenders for 2.5 inch tire.

I have a Yuba Mundo Classico and I'm going to be purchasing a set of Hookworms in 2.5" (63.5 mm) size but I can't seem to find fenders that are wide enough for full tire coverage. Any ideas? I've read that the fenders need to be at least 7mm wider than the tire, so I'm looking for 70mm fenders.

    Is 72V Safe?

Shaun, thanks for the info, greatly appreciated it. What are your thoughts on placing the battery in the front basket on a cargo bike VS the down tube (triangle part of the bike). I kind of like the idea of having two water bottles mounted in there and placing the 52V 20a battery in front...

    Is 72V Safe?

I have a cargo bike, a Yuba Mundo Classic, it's 7 feet long and I'm thinking of going with a rear hub 72V 2000 watt motor and 72V battery. I keep reading how some members are saying that 52V is safer than 72V. What do they mean by that? How could 72V be less safe than 52V? I plan on using...
