Arrows lined up. Solid contact when pushed together. I made a wooden clamp and put a good squeeze on the connector. Ran well then back to arcing.

My thoughts as well. I suspect the power from the controller is not pure sin wave but have had problems with other controllers . I just put new connector wire from controller and it ran well for a while. Rad rover with 52 v battery 25 amp controller 750 motor upgrade.

The arcing is occurring in the 3+6 round connector between control and motor. The arcing happens when I am riding and causes the motor to seem like it is grinding gears but it is not.

My bike keeps arcing at the motor plug connection. Any ideas???

If you have an ordinary pedal bike I would suggest riding it as a warm up before jumping on the POWER machine. If you are not a bike rider and just started on an electric bike you should rent or borrow a pedal bike and get familiar with cadence, geometry, braking, turning etc before you have...

Yes but my motor doesn't quit just some sort of "out of phase" grinding and vibration. Scared the heck out of me. I start off in 0 to get bike moving then use a high setting to get zooming. Always seems to occur at take off. Hope someone can give the problem a name so I know what to tell...

You are not the only one. Was riding my upgraded rad-rover had sever grinding noise and increased to vibration. I thought it was the gears all torn up but I changed setting and set of again and no noise. I think it has something to do with the new controller not being a "true sine wave" device...

Recently installed Bolton controller upgrade on a Radrover. Now getting intermittent "grinding" vibrations. Got so bad I could feel it through the seat. Almost always at take off under load. Any opinions?

Put a 52 volt battery on and see what happens. With PAS settings wide open I have to be very careful when I take off and top speed in excess of 55k/h
