Interesting your journey to electric. my first "real" bike was after the 1984 LA olympics I bought a schwinn something 10 or 12 speed road bike that I took to the naval academy and it was my only real fun as a plebe restricted to the campus only but i got to fly around a lot on it.

Sherlockbonz,
What did you buy?
Curious to hear. I have Trek Allant+8S. Added Redshift Seatpost suspension and Raised Adjustable Steering Stem. Big improvements. 2-1/2 years probably 2,500 miles if not more. Both my wife and I have one. Specialized has upgraded everything since then and they...
someone may have already said this, but i am starting to realize that a very effective "tool" is to pedal backwards. the sound of the ratchet pawls clicking against the gear teeth is INSTANTLY RECOGNIZABLE as a BIKE and the pedestrians seem to always understand i am approaching from the rear. i...

we always ring but had a blind guy snap at us that you are required to SPEAK to them whether approaching from the front or rear. told us we should READ his...
Rab63, I think the Homage looks fantastic. I own a couple of Trek Powerfly 9’s and Allant+8S which is a similar comparison to your final two with a big difference: our Powerfly bikes are leaned over in a mountain bike position with a fair amount of weight on your hands. Perfect for off road...
did you post any details about how to do this? i'd be curious as i'm sorta stuck with four (4) yes four (4) !!! smart phone hub things. i don't like them at all. thanks, tim
We have matching stagger frames on the Allants. These are good for both of us. Not a fan of diamond frames at 54 years old. Dropper seat posts make mounting dismounting super easy on our Powerflys. Tim
