The newer models from Himiway have been changed so they can no longer be modded to increase the controllers amps or speed limit.

Did they give you contat information, because the website I found for them is very dated.

Stay away from Aventon, they have very poor customer support based on several postings to the forums I follow.

I'm curious, has anyone stopped you to inquire what class your e-bike is? I don't think many have put in that position. Maybe the best thing to do is ride responsibly and no one will stop you.

Is there no programming to change the throttle to operate independent of the PAS. My Himiway allows your to select how the throttle works, I have mine to work alongside the PAS but not be limited by the PAS settings. It works great when you want/need a little extra power or when starting off...

Thats just their way of making a few more bucks.

Also the EU and UK limit the motor power to ridiculous 250 watts. In my book you might as well not even put a motor on at that level.

Your top speed is limited by the tire size, and winding of the motor as well as the voltage of the battery pack. As for a change to 56 tooth front sprocket I feel that is way to big and you will regret that change when climbing hills. I suggest a 50 tooth from sprocket maximum or a freewheel...

I think that's why they make ear plugs.

Matt where do you suggest buying tires (fats 4")? I'm new to ebikes March this year and am very surprised the prices they are asking for fat tires. I have seen and bought motorcycle tires for less.

Florida always seems to do it right. Now if they could get rid of the bugs, humidity, hurricanes maybe it would be a great place to live.
