Well my tubeless conversion on my wife's Tero 3.0 was going well until I noticed both tires were pretty low on air yesterday. Maybe because the bike has only been ridden around the block since the conversion.
Aired up the front to 50 psi with my compressor. While airing up the rear the tire...
I can confirm that the Tero 3.0 comes tubeless ready. And the front wheel weighs 1,145 grams with the axle and 1,078 grams without. I'll weigh the rear later today.
Has anybody gone tubeless on a Tero yet? The Ground Control T5 tires are tubeless ready but not sure if the rims are already taped. No big deal as I did the Easton XC wheels on my Niner WFO yesterday with Gorilla Tape and it worked very well.
If you really want to save some weight I'll swap my wife's 3.0 battery for your wife's 5.0 battery and I'll pay for shipping for both batteries. I've never wife swapped before 🤣
Well that's an option but I assume buying a fork for a Tero 5.0 with a Specialized part number would be very pricey. But you know what they say when you assume. I'll see if I can find a parts fiche for the 2022 bikes. Thanks.
The spring fork on my wife's Tero 3.0 is junk. The 5.0 comes with a Recon Silver air shock. I can get one for $190 shipped free but I have no idea how to figure out if it will fit. Calling on the experts. The 5.0 has 110mm of travel and Recon Silver has 120mm of travel. I'm confused...
The Suntour spring shock on my wife's Tero 3.0 is pretty much junk. How do I figure out what will fit her bike? Or can somebody make a recommendation. The 5.0 comes with a Recon Silver but I'm guessing not all Recon Silvers will fit.
The 5.0 specs say 110mm of travel but the Recon Silvers on...
I can confirm the shock on my wife's Tero 3.0 is not an air shock and is junk. I didn't realize that until we got it home. Had I know I still wouldn't have bought the 5.0 The price point of the 5.0 is too close to what you can purchase the full suspension Turbo Levo for.
I suspect I will be...
Unfortunately the high voltage model is not sold on Amazon. And the all in price is closer to $400 so it has me rethinking the purchase.
Thanks for all the great info!
