At 72 I don't worry about zone training, just enjoy the ride.

I'm more inclined to pedal and sing. Started touring before the Walkman, so it's natural for me.

If you get too close to your personal VO2 max you will surely feel it. Stay below that. What I mean is you gotta feel your body and ride to that. All those doodads are just doodads, in the end it's how you feel.

Rad Power Bikes may close soon

Makes me an expert in cheap DTC bikes. I knew what I was getting into, and how to fix them. One advantage with an inexpensive ebike is no worries about locking up and going in the pub for a beer or two.

getting a regular bike after my battery fails?

Those dynamos sure seem cool to me, pricey though. Did see some for $130, the SON are $300+. I can lace a wheel, but buying the spokes adds even more price wise. My night rides are short so I'll stick to the LED rechargeable lights for the time being, but if I find one in a wheel, used, at a...

Rad Power Bikes may close soon

Those cheap DTC will get the klicks, but after that bike craps out some of those buyers will see the value in a quality machine. The others will give up, their ebikes rusting away to garbage.

Rad Power Bikes may close soon

Maybe starting around 2016 almost every ebike here was a Rad. That was in Washington state. Now it's mostly Trek after they opened a store in town.

    Signs of fall/winter.

So far, here in the Pacific NW, we haven't had Winter yet. It's an early spring, which was preceded by late Fall. No Winter! I'm close to sea level on the 48th parallel and we have not yet had even a hard frost. I think the record seasonal low has been 36-38 *F.

getting a regular bike after my battery fails?

Be nice to ride your route with a decent borrowed bike before you spend the real money and see if you like the experience. However, if you buy a really nice pedal bike and don't use it, well, they make great wall art:

Show us pictures of where you ride your ebikes!

Grew up in the east bay. When in high school we would drive to Half Moon Bay then down the coast to San Grigorio, Pomponio, and Pescadero beaches and then back up again. Got into the uplands some. What beautiful country.

Light vs regular full suspension ebikes

Those are sure some nice emtb's, stompandgo. I'm kind of partial to the Amflow myself.
