Turris uses the KD21C display, so looks like it was more like the 500 series, but they both use power based assist, so they should be very similar in function. I like the Yamaha system.

I didn't receive an end-cap, so I didn't install it on the bike. But a red LED lights when I press the button on the battery. And when I hooked it up to the charger, the charger light went on and the battery LED flashed. So, it looks good, but just has a low charge.

Wow, people feel insulted by a nonsense brand name on your top bag? I don't think that's insulting and would just ignore it. Those people you talked to about that are too overly sensitive. I would have not covered it up. It's very mild compared to what's out there. How would they like...

Yeah, apparently the phrase "while supplies last" was mentioned some places. I don't know of any response to the open letter, and when I clicked on the form in the other thread, it said, "Thanks for all the responses. The form is now closed. See the original postings for updates."

Wow, just heard they aren't honoring the free battery promotion and now this. Purchasing a Yamaha e-bike is my biggest regret.
