My Suntour review with the CrossCurrent S. Just posting it here because it was fun to make. Nothing more brilliant to say about it really. Enjoy yours! I like mine!
Yeah I hear you. I'm still based in Denver because my wife and I were able to get in 17 years ago at a reasonable cost. We know full well that if we sold our home and went out of state, we would probably never be able to get back in again because of the high cost of living. The mild weather...
Oh hey I appreciate all the comments. I'm never a quick sprint away from my CrossCurrent S ever. The cable lock is there just to give me enough time to see anyone hanging around my bike. It's simply used in order to be a deterrent to a fast grab-and-go (a thief who is excessively cavalier and is...
Great post. I went through the same purchase justification. Considered DIY, then fell in love with the Luna Cycle builds but could not justify the cost, and then settled on the Cross Current S.
Thank you! I want to give it a shot. I'm also going to treat myself to a bicycle mechanic class this summer. I want to learn because I enjoy tinkering with things but I've never really experimented with bikes yet. Thanks again!
Hey guys, how hard of an install is the Deore XT Shadow Plus derailleur? Is it pretty much a drop in replacement for a DIY guy? (hey I remodeled all three of my bathrooms...could I do this myself? - LOL) - Thanks in advance!
Hey Mark - it's about an 8 mile commute and the whole route takes between 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. When I get to work my battery gauge still shows full on the CrossCurrent S (stock battery).
I definitely agree and I am going to make that correction. Riding on the sidewalk is purely fear based and I need to push through that and adjust the route.
I am going to make some minor adjustments to the route to eliminate the sidewalks, even though the sidewalks on this route are designated bike paths, just to err on the safe side.
