Front fork and tire modification on 2018 Rad Rover- Feasible mod for other ebikes with heavy front spring suspension fork

CodyDog - thanks for the fork info! I would like to do the same on my 2018 RR. Curious; what made you choose the Surly Ice Cream Truck over the Surly Pugsley?

Looking to replace my Rad Rover suspension fork with a rigid fork.

Checking in to see if you made the change? I would like to do the same if this fork is compatible with the 2018 RR. The the price is right, and it appears to have better mounting options for a front pannier rack? Any idea if the stock brakes will fit this fork?

Upgraded my brake calipers w/ TRP cable actuated hydraulic disc brakes

Thanks for the quick response spmckinnon! So glad I asked; I completely missed that detail; I definitely want the hydraulic when I make the upgrade. Did you ever end up trying the short throw adapters?

Upgraded my brake calipers w/ TRP cable actuated hydraulic disc brakes

I too am looking to overhaul the brakes on my 2018 RR. Curious... why are folks using the TRP HY/RD brakes on their RR; aren't they mean to be used on road bikes? Would the TRP Spykes be more appropriate for the RR? https://trpcycling.com/product/spyke/ https://trpcycling.com/product/hyrd/...

Looking for after market street tires for RadRover

Looking for after market street tires for RadRover

Great info on this thread, thank you. My 2018 RR is just shy of 1800 miles and the rear tire is in need of replacement (the tread is worn smooth). I see that Maxxis Hookworm 26x2.5 is a popular pavement commuter option; I think that's what I'll go with. Can someone confirm that this tire...

    2018 RadRover Full Fenders?

@CodyDog: Congrats! Exciting isn't it? These are so enjoyable to ride. My rover will be replacing my car as my primary means of transportation. I was totally sold on these as a functional means of transport (and genuine value) after my first test ride at their Seattle headquarters...

    2018 RadRover Full Fenders?

Greetings all! Has anyone found a decent set of 3rd party *full* fenders that fit the 2018 RadRover? I'd like to buy a set from Rad Power Bikes, but they do not currently have a product available. I understand they are only in the prototype stage of a new set of fenders, but it could take...
