REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

Post up pictures when you get around to it. This thread has a lot of potentially helpful information on a number of aspects for Qiroll users. I've used a few different types of spring door hinges, they all worked for my applications. They tended to be made of stainless steel which can be a...

REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

I used a spring loaded door hinge, the kind that you can adjust tension. The ones with a strong spring worked best but there can be fitment issues due to the length of the hinge so it depends on the mounting location and clearances for your specific bike.

Need NEW conversion motor for Kalkoff E-bike

You should read the entire thread on the UK pedelec forum that I linked. Later posts in the thread indicated that someone tried to substitute a non-proprietary 24v battery which didn't work. The OP initially indicated that the #3 connector was only for display voltage reading but later in a...

Need NEW conversion motor for Kalkoff E-bike

They look to have a bottom bracket that was used to house electrical connections. The Panasonic motor mount appears to have been added below the bottom bracket, maybe to repurpose a standard bike frame - at least it looks that way, sort of. Angle grinder to cut off the motor bracket and maybe...

Need NEW conversion motor for Kalkoff E-bike

IMO listen to Harry. Why not just buy a 24v battery? Per this 15 year old UK pedelecs forum post https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/topic/10059-using-other-batteries-on-panasonic-lithium-powered-units/#post123662 "Positive connection to the platform pin position 5 nearest the front of the bike...

    Need dust cap for freehub

My mistake, I found the old Shimano freehub which indeed does have a dust seal that looks more robust and removable so I should be able to swap that into the freehub on the Jack.

    Need dust cap for freehub

The metal ring is integral to the rubber part, is very thin and deformed beyond use.

    Need dust cap for freehub

It's from a Dahon Jack 26" folder with a non-branded hub. The original 7 speed freehub had what seemed to be a significant wobble and I wanted to upgrade to 8 speed for a wider range 12-42t cassette that I had in the parts bin (possible for this hub without altering the 135mm O.L.D.). The only...

    Need dust cap for freehub

Any idea where I can buy dust cap for this freehub? I swapped out a 7 speed for 8-10 speed freehub but it didn't come with a dust seal. I tried to remove it from the old freehub but destroyed it in the process. Pictures includes the old freehub and the seal. Couldn't find anything similar on...

Two Month Review Of Cervelo Rouvida Rival Road Ebike

Depending on how much you want to ride your Vaya but could do with some help, you might consider a Keyde S110 hub motor. Weight 2.3kg plus a 1.2kg 36v 7ah battery is same as published wt of Mahle x35 system comes in thru axle and threaded axle versions. As easy to install as changing a rear...

    Clean Custom Conversions

No problems with the electronic controls. So you've used them on cable actuated disc brakes (I assume so from your answer but just want to be clear)? Thanks

    Clean Custom Conversions

Unless there is some issue with short pull vs long pull I can't think of a reason that it wouldn't work but I just replaced cables/housings and don't want to mess them up. I'll try a web search to see if it has been done successfully by others.

I've thought about adding cross levers to my drop bar bike with 105 cable disc brakes but the tectro RL720 description states for caliper or cantilever. Do you see a reason they wouldn't work well for cable disc brakes?

REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

I had chosen 60 grit mostly because it looked same/very similar to what Gboost uses for their friction drive. My concern was that a finer grit might be more prone to slippage and consequent focal tire damage. The friction layer is imbeded in a resin that is very durable so they don't have the...

Keyde Hub Motor Systems S110 Brief

There isn't very much info that I've found on the web regarding Keyde other than the very helpful experience and insights @peterecosse shared on another thread https://forums.electricbikereview.com/threads/anyone-tried-a-lightweight-ebike-conversion-kit-on-the-scott-addict.57484/ and the info...
