REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

As always thank you for sharing your knowledge which has been very helpful to me and I'm sure many others based on the 145,000, and counting, views of this QIroll thread. I'm still planning on riding the Mickelson trail this year, maybe next week if the weather forecast holds. Thunderstorm...

REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

I don't have any need to disassemble a QIroll battery but if I did I'd try using a cheap feeler gauge (smallest of the blades stiff enough to insert between the cap and can) along with careful use of a heat gun (or hair dryer). I'd try to not twist the cap avoiding breaking wires/connections.

You only have to use two (+ & -) of the three terminals when using a standard non-proprietary battery. The third terminal isn't required. I think blueberry first posted this information also. I've run my Mute version with both 48v and 36v batteries and a buck converter that can drop voltage...

REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

I think Blueberry posted about having opened up a Qiroll battery, you might send him a message about details if he doesn't respond to this thread. I suspect that the plastic cap may be glued onto the aluminum tube which may have to be destroyed in order to open it up. Keep us posted. On...

Anyone tried a lightweight ebike conversion kit on the Scott Addict?

Nothing that I'm sure you haven't already seen. Looks like they're meant only to supply bike manufacturers rather than to the public. The M11 looks interesting, how would you incorporate it without being able to build a frame specifically for it ?

The information you provided in this thread is by far the most helpful that I have found searching the web.

Anyone tried a lightweight ebike conversion kit on the Scott Addict?

FWIW the US distributor did quickly answer a few Q I had. From what I could gather from their message the torque sensing function seems to be virtual by combining input from the PAS functions along with a built in inclinometer as there was no mention of a strain gauge type torque sensor. IMO...

Anyone tried a lightweight ebike conversion kit on the Scott Addict?

Thanks again for sharing your experience. I'm intrigued but think I should hold back on purchase. There aren't many reviews that I could find but some that I found seem to indicate that it might not be a good choice for me. Paraphrasing one review of the p110: "when stopping on an uphill...

Anyone tried a lightweight ebike conversion kit on the Scott Addict?

I've been looking into the Keyde a little more and have a couple questions, if you don't mind, since their description and the description on the US distributer leaves something to be desired. Is the S110 cadence sensing or torque sensing (they describe the S110 as "PAS" but the P110 as "torque...

    Grizzly bear attack in B.C.

Was within 50 yards of a grizzly last week walked bike roadside along a line of cars blocking the road then rode on. A motorcyclist trapped in the line of cars wasn't happy to be stopped with no way out. Ranger drove up to the traffic jam and told drivers to move on but they didn't comply for...

Didn't realize that Mahle was direct either. I really don't have a strong preference because they all have significant bothersome limitations. I've installed and removed my TSDZ2 mid drives (have two) on several bikes. They work very well, similar to my Yamaha PW-SE equipped gravel bike...

Anyone tried a lightweight ebike conversion kit on the Scott Addict?

I didn't realize that it was direct drive, doesn't seem optimal for extended very hilly riding but I have no experience with direct drive ebike motors. Excessive heat for the controller encased with the motor sounds concerning but mid drives also have controllers enclosed in close proximity with...

Anyone tried a lightweight ebike conversion kit on the Scott Addict?

I had mentioned the Keyde in another of the OP posts, but they (OP and an engineer friend) decided to try to reinvent the wheel themselves rather than buy something off the shelf. Any further information that you can share might be helpful to someone with a real & practical interrest. If I...
