Need advice regarding display internal tape type electrical connection

Bike with Keyde wireless display fell over, display didn't contact anything but the screen popped off. Everything looks intact but I'm not sure how to plug back in the tape type (not sure of the name) wire harness. I have very limited experience with cell phone/gps/computer where the grey bar...

    Tannus airless tires

Despite their limitations I wonder if this guy, at least at this moment, would have preferred to be riding on Tannus airless tires. I have a sort of love/hate relationship with them installed on a wheelset.

    e-trike retrofit for Gekko?

36v 500w tsdz2 on this bike, recent trip to Tetons https://forums.electricbikereview.com/attachments/img_20260608_140147811_hdr-jpg.211250/

    e-trike retrofit for Gekko?

I see aliexpress currently has sale on TSDZ2B, shipped from US, $227 for 36v version with most expensive display. That seems like an unbeatable price. OP have you made a decision or just thinking?

    e-trike retrofit for Gekko?

He probably just meant control/display rather than controller his is the very old version, I got that with my first one but replaced it with smaller integrated display/control. If this is too difficult for the OP to undertake then, as I posted before, a Keyde rear hub motor which has an...

    e-trike retrofit for Gekko?

There are plenty of youtube videos regarding installation of a bottom braket motor onto a trike. Here's one for an older model Tongsheng TSDZ2, there's now a newer model called TSDZ2B which probably installs the same, they are torque sensing. You can decide for yourself if you're capable but I...

    e-trike retrofit for Gekko?

You might want to look into a Keyde hub motor. I have a standard axle S110 with a 135mm O.L.D. but they also make a 142mm thru axle version. Simplest possible installation as the controller is built into the hub, only one wire to battery and a wireless (or wired option if you prefer)...

    Li-ion Battery experiences

I didn't ride as much as I would have hoped because of weather but the BtrPower battery did well and maintained 40v without sag for the 11+ miles that I used it.

    Li-ion Battery experiences

Not a bad idea given the history of this battery. Just yesterday I replaced the Anderson connectors that had been on it with xt60. I thought I was being careful but the Harbor Freight "helping hands" holder for the wires and xt60 slipped shorting the wires for an instant. Upside is that up...

    Li-ion Battery experiences

I'm going to charge this battery out on the driveway (in the shade) which is how I usually charge my cheap Amazon sourced batteries. Yamaha batteries I charge in the house but not without monitoring.

    Li-ion Battery experiences

I only took it for a short spin so far, the display didn't show any voltage sag, only a couple millivolts while riding. Planning to fully charge and see how it does riding up my road (400 ft elevation gain/mile). I won't be surprised if the results aren't what I hope they will be but one can hope.

    Li-ion Battery experiences

Hopefully I didn't just put it in storage fully charged but I wouldn't put it past me - I often feel sorry for the future me. And I do try to follow the best practices but when it comes down to it I'm not that diligent, obviously. The battery is a widely panned BtrPower so it probably doesn't...

    Li-ion Battery experiences

Here's another anecdote: 36v BtrPower battery several years old, unused/uncharged since ~'23. I dug it out because I'm planning on some rails to trails riding, taking my '06 Walmart Schwinn with 6-7 year old TSDZ2 (because it has walk assist which BH unexplainably blocked on my Yamaha powered...

    Li-ion Battery experiences

Does Li-ion battery degredation results in lower full charge voltage or reduced amp/hour capacityor both? While I try to not leave batteries used on ebikes fully charged for more than a few days I've certainly left them fully charged for much longer than that, sometimes months. Despite this...

How an Electric Motorbike Made LA Feel Smaller, Easier and More Fun

I loved my V7 but it was too much of a bike for me so it had to go. Prior to the V7 I had a TW200 that I took on the ferry from Bellingham WA to Haynes AK then rode 2600 miles back home including Banff, also a 170cc scooter bought sight unseen (had never even been within 100 yards of a scooter...

How an Electric Motorbike Made LA Feel Smaller, Easier and More Fun

Bike and component prices from recognized brands has never made any sense to me. I had a hand made/assembled in Italy Moto Guzzi V7 750cc with abs, traction control and many intricate parts and technology that new cost <$7400 USD in 2016 and a run of the mill aluminum frame BH Yamaha powered...

REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

Good information, thanks for sharing. Charging to only 90% of the battery capacity is probably good for battery life too. Unfortunately for me biking wise (otherwise fortunately for me) I ride hilly routes with some very steep sections so neither the Qiroll Mute nor Pro provide enough assist...
