Help! Yesterday I was riding my CCX in a mountain biking state park for the first time. I asked some girl about directions and she said sure go that way- what I thought was a small shallow green covered stream was a freaking pond and my CCX was immersed for a few seconds before I extricated...

I'm looking to change to a more relaxed upright the riding position on my CCX. The forward lean fatigues my 66 yer old neck and shoulders. Has anyone changed their handlebar and could recommend a certain fix?

You can say that about any ebike, lol. With the youtube and the internet I can just about fix anything, lol. Juice warranty is not transferable and it probably near the 1 year term anyways.

This bike is incredible. Wind and hills are no longer a problem for my 66 year old body. I was only using pedal assist level 1 and was going 20 mph easily on flat roads. The torque sensor is amazing. Most fun thing I bought in a few decades. I use the throttle from a standstill to get up to speed.

So I have spent 6 weeks researching the right Ebike to buy as the hills here are taking all the fun out of bicycling when you are 66 years old. I grew up biking, always had a nice bike. I read and viewed a ton of bike reviews, first thinking that I would get a foldable but gravitating to a city...

I'd rather have 700 mm tires on the Swift. A commuter bike should have larger wheels to cover more distance but that's just me.

Uphill, thanks for your deductive thoughts on your Aventon 500 purchase, I'm in the same boat. I will check out all the other bikes you sifted through. I am also looking at the Rize City step-thru, did you get a chance review that one?

Thanks for your suggestions but the Pedego is way to expensive for what you get. I am also pretty mechanical so I won't rely on a local dealer network. Also not to crazy about the rear sway balance with the battery on the back. Swift looks good but is $250 about 15% more than the Rize City.

Which ebike do you have? So it's a left hand twist and the ring kind of acts like a thumb throttle?

Are there any city commuter step-thru ebikes with a twist throttle and thinner tires 1.95" - 2.25" and 700mm wheels sizes? I'm looking at the Rize City and the Biktrix Swift and they both have thumb throttles and 26" tires. I'm 66 years old and would like a step-thru. I use to ride a motorcycle...

Thanks, Flat Six, but I'm more inclined to choose a hybrid upright seating position with swept back handlebars. I'm 66 years old, lol.
