I'm wondering if the seals inside the actuator on my kit hasn't failed, since I can't even get one gear to work. I wish I could just buy the actuator.

I'm also having issues with my part that attaches to the hub. The bike was shifting fine, but over time it would no longer shift to 5 & 6 gears. I tried bleeding the lines, but ended up with zero gears. I did bleed the lines a year or so ago and was able get all the gears working...

Out of curiosity I emailed Kinderney to see if I get a response. I'm not expect one, but you never know.

I took the actuator apart (see photo) and cleaned everything. I can't tell if the arm/extensions are normal or worn/damaged.

The shaft on the hub rotates (clicks) both ways, so it looks like the hub itself is okay. How do I take the actuator apart to inspect/clean?

I'll try that today. If problem is a failed shifting actuator, I suspect, since Kinderney has gone out of business, purchasing a new actuator would not be possible.

I'm not sure how to shift it manually.

I'd prefer to purchase this kit from the US distributor, but I live in Canada, so I'll have to pay duty, taxes, and possible tariffs. If I order directly from China there usually isn't any duty or tariffs, and sometimes there isn't even taxes.

Yes, my Defy has a thru axle (12x142). So, the S110 is the way to go, then. I'm thinking of going with the 10ah battery. Is that a good choice?

Either the S110 or the P110. I'm leaning towards the P110, because it has a bit more power. Has anyone received this kit with one of their wheels? Just wondering about the quality of their rims. I'd probably buy the kit from China. If I buy the kit from the US I'll be hit with taxes and...

I think I may have found the DIY kit for my Giant Defy (carbon frame). Their website sure doesn't give much information, though. The site does mention that they are able to build a wheel set. That might be easier than getting someone where I live to build a wheel for me.
