Yeah, I’m still of the opinion that the motor was my property. It’s moot now, I bought an Orbea Rise and am selling the Haibike with 12 miles on the new motor.

Thinking back, I think I bought the first one for my Orbea Rise, from bike closet for $389 around Black Friday. I then bought another for the Vado SL for $430-ish from planet cyclery. Both great prices but that $389 was a steal.

Update on SRAM GX AXS install on Vado SL 4.0. When sizing chain, adding 2 links, one inner and one outer, works perfectly. Note that I had already converted the bike to 12-speed.

I suspect this is the case, at least from what the shop told me. But is it legal? I gave no permission for the shop to return (steal?) my property.
