Was just reading up on this bike. It’s been out for a few months, and I wonder if anyone has gotten one and/or written any review(s) on EBR about it. Aventon has applied their (A100) mid-drive motor to a fat bike. I’m not sure if any other manufacturer is making a fat bike like this anymore...

Good call, Chris. What’s a “hydro brake,” then? My question for all of you, is there any advantage to cable-actuated brakes vs. hydraulic hoses? Are these best for retrofitted bikes? But, in order to mount these calipers don’t you already need bosses on the tubes to accept them? Just curious.

@edobici_forza , I think Jeremy uses it more thoroughly than I do, but here’s my usage. And, I love the app, though I have little to compare it with (other than car GPS apps). I almost exclusively use the RWGPS Cycle map and turn on/off the various options (mostly unpaved cycling layer)...

Drive by wire is interesting. We saw that recently on some urban e-trucks that have pedals… Pretty interesting stuff. Is there a time in that video when the features of the bike are covered? I got bored after a couple of minutes of organizational history as I’m only interested in the tech/bike.

I think Rad is still up and shipping. Probably some good deal(s) over the holidays. I continue to get marketing email from them, but yes it looks like they’re on their way out.

That might be more of an issue elsewhere (than the US), but it’s a really good point. It’s possible you’d be excluded from some multi-use paths, especially dependent on where you live/ride, Kevin.

@Chargeride , I don’t know about the map(s) that RWGPS has in the UK, but where I ride in central MA (USA) their mapping is pretty good. I lost track of your conversation above with Stefan, but if you have a RWGPS question let me know.
