My K-edge chain catcher has been fantastic, not a single slipped chain since I fitted it. Although I started getting some chain suck, but I've learnt if I keep my chain clean and oiled it doesn't happen.

It is a K-edge clamp-on road bike chain catcher 34.9mm but it looks like it is discontinued, I guess any clamp-on 34.9 catcher will do the job, the bike shop I walked into just happenned to have the K-edge on the shelf. My bike has just clocked 10,000km so it's done pretty well to not need a...

That's the same page I also found about the 2022 model, the only page I could find. I'm a bit confused as to how Giant releases the new models as the Australian site has plenty of 2022 models not but not the Explore E+

This doesn't answer Alan's question but I am looking at getting a 2022 Explore E+(when they are eventually released) as a replacement to my 2018 Quick E+, I test rode a 2021 Explore E+ a month or so ago and it was a pretty nice ride with the front shocks and Evo Dash ride control. As much as...

The chain catcher is working well, I felt the chain wanting to come off a couple of times this week but it stayed on, the chain catcher has a couple of marks on it confirming the chain made contact. Happy that this has hopefully resolved my chain coming off issue.

Finally got sick of having to unbolt the chainring everytime the chain comes off (I carry nitrite gloves and an allen key in my bag...), I stopped in a bike shop and bought one of those, it's minimalistic and blends in hoepfully it will stop the chain from getting wedged in. I should have taken...

Well after 3yrs and just under 10,000km my rack snapped an arm and it's not even at the weld. I just carry a pannier with my laptop so the weight isn't excessive.

Pulled it apart on the weekend and it wasn't as bad as I thought, the boot was intact and whatever heat seal they had used had failed, I just used some contact adhesive to glue it back on. I'm guessing it failed as I use it everyday to go up the harbour bridge steps, and the walk mode is a bit...

Does anyone know if Giant sells the rubber boot for the ride control ? Mine has perished on my 2018 Quick-e

I think you are better off with another more upright bike with front suspension. I changed my stem to an adjustable angle one but you still lean on the handlebars instead on sitting upright. Shop for a bike that fits better instead of making it fit.

Thanks, 2nd time my chain has come off in the past month, today I was in the middle lane of 3 lanes of traffic, lights turned green, took off and about 3 pedal strokes later the chain came off, lucky I had just enough speed to coast to the kerb. after 15 minutes of struggling (knowing there was...

I'm impressed, riding 46 miles a day is pretty amazing and you are reaping the health benefits already! If you broke your chain that early and you don't intend dramatically changing your shifting style I would recommend you probably change you chain every 500 miles or so, the reason is that a...

Haha what a joke, do they mean that people were actually bringing their bikes in for a service? I see that they sell service plans, so they are probably forcing people to buy those. Mind you I wasn't impressed with Giant Sydney city, on the first ride home I had to adjust the gears when I got...

You should be taking your bike back to the shop in a few weeks for the free 1 month service, get them to look at / bleed the brakes for you then.
