Very strange. A random thought: It almost sounds as if your TCD is converting what it thinks is km to miles. I have no idea why that would happen, let alone overnight.
With my older eyes I have trouble seeing a bike computer. The solution was to convert sunglasses into bifocals using stick-on lenses. The ones I bought were OPTX Hydrotac. They work much better than I expected: easy to install and they stay in place when I clean my lenses with mild soap. They...
If you enjoy it, I'm all for it. One question, though. I take it you live in Vermont. What's up with that?;)
As for fit, it's so individual that maybe nobody is right. I'm sure you've found that a ton of web sites repeat basically the same info, and that manufacturers' charts (this inseam =...
OK, I picture you researching cars, dishwashers, washing machines, light bulbs, tweezers, band-aids, potting soil, sponges, ball-point pens, shoelaces, ... well, you get the idea. Seems like a tough (or anyhow slow) way to go through the world.
The connection between my bike and my phone is Bluetooth. Adding my bike to the app apparently (see above) required connection to the outside world. I saw no indication of whether it was by WiFi or cell network; both were available at the time. I assume if I were to now use the app in the...
Tires are a big subject with considerable range of personal opinion and taste. My advice:
1. For road, get slick tires or minimal tread.
2. Light and flexible. My favorites are Continental GP 5000, Veloflex Corsa EVO, and Rene Herse Extralight. For me these tires really feel more responsive...
I have a 2022 Creo 1 with mastermind. If it has walk mode, I have yet to discover it. I'm pretty sure Amoto is right: Walk mode is within the scope of mastermind but it is not implemented on the Creo.
OK, so I'm happy to report that the 80% limit is working now on my '22 Creo.
I would be even happier if:
1. the firmware update had not been such an adventure (see thread titled Stuck Between Apps).
2. there were firmware release notes telling me the fix had happened. I had to discover it...
Hmm. I have a Creo 1 with mastermind display. Firmware was supposedly updated by a shop in February to whatever was the latest for motor, battery, and display. However in the Specialized app I can find nothing to say what version #s I have, nor can I find any release notes. I have not...
... and so is a fix for 80% charging stuck at 100% (or so says customer support), but I'm not holding my breath. IMO Specialized gets that they need to to hardware development really well, but they don't quite get that software is an integral part of an ebike, and it has to be just as good.
I like Specialized bikes but I've been very underwhelmed by their firmware and documentation. Thankfully, they do the basic motor integration well. But IME features come out slowly and fitfully while documentation is all over the place. I get the feeling their bike designers are their A team...
I have connected my bike to the Specialized app. Rider care did some back and forth with me, and I appreciate their persistence. The gist of the final message was "The app team saw the issue on the back end and was able to fix it." That doesn't tell me much, but at least everything works now...
