    Trike transport and rail trails

It is HP Velotechnik Scorpion FS. Believe it or not, it can fit in my Honda CRV without being folded or having the seat removed. I just need to loosen the seat’s quick release and push seat back a little. Roll the back wheel in first, then lift and roll the front end, position it, and engage the...

    Trike transport and rail trails

I have an update for this thread. I bought a pedal assist recumbent tadpole trike yesterday. I traveled 3.5 hours away to test ride some trikes and make the purchase. I have gone on a couple of short rides to get used to the steering and handling. Loving it so far!

    New Trike Day

Hi everyone, I just bought my first e-trike. I went with the HP Velotechnik scorpion FS with Shimano pedal assist. I appreciate everyone’s advice on the forum.

    Tilting/leaning trikes

That sounds good. I would be interested in buying a well-designed electric leaning trike.

    Tilting/leaning trikes

Thank you for your feedback. I looked at your other thread. Did you buy their trike and make modifications to it? Or did you convert a different bike? It looks like you have a business that makes conversions, is that right?

    Tilting/leaning trikes

This looked interesting to me, too. The only downside seems to be the weight (12 kg). Also not sure if it could be attached to the front of an ebike (obviously not one with a front hub motor).

    Tilting/leaning trikes

Thanks for the information. I can ride a 2 wheel bike (Cannondale treadwell remixte). My balance is ok (not great). I am careful and focus to keep balance, cannot look around too much or take a hand off the handlebars. The trike would be for a little added stability, with e-assist to help with...

    Tilting/leaning trikes

Hello all, I previously posted about riding e trikes on rail trails, and think that it is feasible in my area. My riding would be recreational, do not need to transport people or heavy cargo. I have become very interested in the tilting trikes. So far, the main brands seem to be Mastretta MX3...

    Trike transport and rail trails

Thank you all for the helpful advice. It is really encouraging to hear about your experiences. I am leaning toward the Lectric trike, possibly with a pet ramp (or maybe 2 side by side) to roll it into the crv. The trike weighs about 62 pounds without battery. I remain intrigued by the split...

    Trike transport and rail trails

Hello everyone, I am very interested in an electric trike and have a few practical questions. For background, I have a 2 wheel non electric bike and previously rode a 2 wheel electric bike. I have ridden trikes before and think that an etrike would offer a unique riding experience. I am about...
