  • A tandem rider is stopped by a police car.
What’ve I done, officer? asks the rider.
Perhaps you didn’t notice sir, but your wife fell off your bike half a mile back!
Oh, thank God! says the rider – I thought I’d gone deaf!
It's not the falling off that hurts, it's the landing. Recovering from rider error while riding a trail in the Appalachian Mtns. The landing was a 9.5!
When the spirits are low, when the day appears dark, when work becomes monotonous, when hope hardly seems worth having, just mount a bicycle and go out for a spin down the road, without thought on anything but the ride you are taking.

Someone needs to tell the weatherman it's April! Expecting 5 inches of snow tonight. No April fools. Where's my snow tires?

Spring over here in Central Europe. I'll be going to another e-bike demo in a couple of days. Nothing very exciting unfortunately. Dealers are taking less risks and have less clearance sales. In contrast, the deals in the US look fabulous. Guess that's worth a couple of inches of snow...

Luckily we only got about an inch or two of snow. Should be gone quick! I think some brands had an over abundance of enthusiasm for the US ebike market and brought in too many units. We likely will never see prices like this again. I almost purchased a Yamaha Haibike on impulse. 999, new! These days I'm not the conspicuous consumer I once was. I talked myself down from the edge ;-)

I think you might have been disappointed by the Yamaha anyway. Those EasyMotion systems are better in practically every regard. Even at 999, you're better off saving the money and waiting for a later generation of e-bikes...

Last gasp of winter '18 is 16+ inches of snow on the first 2 days of spring! I hope it's winter's last gasp!

Interesting you say that. Purely anecdotal, but I've noticed a few times when on this side of the pond we have a rough winter you don't and vise versa. Now reported we might see 18 to 20 inches. Make it stop!

Another heavy snow storm today. I'm really ready for spring. I'm not dreaming of a white Easter!

Bought my bike a month ago. I've never been waiting for spring like this before. I'm pretty old, and acting pretty young. :) And April temps in Connecticut / northeast-US just won't give us a break!

Congratulations! I'd bet you're looking at years and thousands of service as long as you treat it good. You've had a rough road, hopefully smooth riding now!
