Sammich!

My mom used to make grilled cheeses.

My mom: would you like a grilled cheese?

Me: sure, thanks

My mom: *hands me a plate of 3 sammiches

My mom used to make sliced and pickled beef heart and tongue and make sammich's with it, sliced onions, and a few slices of limberger cheese.

She also made pig tails using her special recipe. They became increasingly difficult to find at the meat market. They had to be special ordered.

I couldn't bring myself to eat the heart and tongue when I got older, but the whole family Loved mom's pig tails.

I couldn't eat the blood sausage or head cheese either after I found out what it was when I was 8 years old.
I used to Love It up until then. 😂

free sammich I found a couple of days ago. nice and moist.

try deviled ham, mayo and sweet pickle on bread of choice.

I love Sweet Pickles !!

Bicks calls them bread a butter pickles because they're obviously designed for building Sammiches,..

But they're cut wrong for stacking them 2" thick.
You lose half of them when you're eating.
They need to cut them properly for building Fat Sammiches.

They make proper sliced 🥪 🥒's, but they only come in Dill flavor,..

I guess that I'm going to have to make my own long cut sweet Sammich pickles?
I can't find whole sweet pickles either.

You could cut them in half lengthwise and stack them up like Jenga Blocks.
That’s what my mom did with the grilled cheeses. She’d offer one, but make 3. They all cut in half and stacked on my plate. I ate all of them. She knew it and never asked how many I’d want. Sometimes, it’d be 4. I’ve always eaten lots and never gained…..until recently. I’m almost 50 now.

how about some yummy crazy sandwiches? My nominee( don't gag till you try it) the onion, lettuce, peanut butter sandwich take your favorite bread, apply peanut butter add a generous slice of good white onion, put a pieces of garden lettuce on the onion top with second slice of bread and enjoy- now one reason I know about stuff like this is my childhood larder was very sparse quite often
Kevin, where’d you grow up? I can tell you that in New York, onion and peanut butter do not show up together on any sammich combo I’ve ever seen. :D

In 1957 I fried up some night crawlers to make a sandwich. Don't knock it until you've tried it!
I've tried it and I knock it. :)
Was it edible, spoke? That sounds nasty. On the other hand, I can think of nastier. Hey, fish love ‘em, right?

Kevin, where’d you grow up? I can tell you that in New York, onion and peanut butter do not show up together on any sammich combo I’ve ever seen. :D when you ain't got meat you improvise( warning to white tailed deer,be very afraid( nowadays they graze under my window without the slightest fear)
In 2.5 world Appalachia!
