How old is the bike?

If the lights will not function, and the assistance modes seem not to function much above Eco, your Drive Unit may be missing its "Application ID." The App ID is a make/model-specific software package that the OEM assembler "flashes" onto the Drive Unit during final assembly of the complete eBike.

Your local Bosch Certified bicycle shop can confirm this using their Diagnostic Software, and will need to call Bosch eBike Service hotline who can help them determine if this issue requires OEM or Bosch resolution.
