Is there a significant difference in power with the Yamaha and Bosch motors to go from a bosch powered bike to a Yamaha powered bike?

I ride Bosch, never ridden a Yamaha. From other reviews, most suggest that it is related to the style and where you ride. The Bosch makes up for less torque with a smoother application of power and gives a ride that some prefer. If you ride it like a traditional bicycle and shift like the same, the torque difference is not significant. I am part of the group of people wanting that smooth application of power. My full suspension Haibike Mtb climbs one hell of a grade.

Actually, Yamaha provides more instant application power than Bosch. It's their patented " Zero-cadence" system. Bosch takes like 1/8 or 1/12 of a revolution before the assist kicks in but once it's on, it's quite smooth as well. Brose (found in BULLS and Specialized) has a much smoother application of power.
