Got an e-mail yesterday from Specialized apologizing for the 'inconvenience' of not responding to an inquiry I made in late July early August and that if I wished to revisit my inquiry, I should resubmit as the initial call/inquiry was being closed (without any anything).
Well, just for shixx's and giggles, I called them today. (877-808-8154)
WOW, 2nd ring, they answered, they're back in business!!!!
YEA!!!!!!
Hey, don't get me wrong, I LOVE my Vado, but the 'out the gate' experience from the get go had me worried.
Glad to see that they are back 'in business' and hope that it's an indication of more betta things to come :)

Good to know that Specialized picked up the phone... what was the nature of your original inquiry? ;)

It was sooooo long ago, ugh.
It was all 'pre-sales" questions that a LBS failed to provide me correct info on. Really, really bad dealer.
So, without a long winded reply, I searched the USA for a Turbo Vado 5, found a few here and there, reserved one in Pennsylvania, was ready to go get it (from NJ) and the dealer suggested I contact my LBS and order one, as he investigated inventory by his internal means and told me there were 2 in the East Coast warehouse, and because he was several hours from my location he suggested it as an option so I did not have to drive there. I did so via another independent LBS that I had shunned initially, but in the end it all worked out.
There were also a few followup items that I wanted to have a discussions about (much like I had the opportunity via the Trek 'SUPERIOR' customer service in Wisconsin when I was a Trek owner), and during Covid Trek answered their phones, Specialized did not. Gave me goose bumps, but like I said, I've never been happier with any e-bike and hopefully they will be back in the saddle again.
