Looking at the stats it's easy to see why the North American market has such little influence on design and configuration of ebikes. With sales of 150,000 units in N.A. compared to 1.6 million in Western Europe it is little surprise why manufacturers continue to cater to the mid drive 250W market. Of interesting note is the 32.8 million in sales in Asia which explains the sheer number of manufacturers and products available.
