What's a good price for 2017 RadCity?

What is a good price for a barely used (68 miles) mid-2017 RadCity 16" bike? Looks great cosmetically. No extra battery.

I suspect prospective buyers will have questions about the condition of the 3 year old battery, was it kept indoors at room temperature, was it allowed to fully disharge or did the owner run the bike and recharge every few months, I don't know about battery chemistry but leaving a lithium battery lying around unused for 3 years might not do it much good. Rad Power don't have the old batteries in stock so I imagine the next question a buyer might be thinking is will I need to have it re-celled. I thought the rule of thumb was to subtract the cost of a replacement battery plus any wear and tear, so if Rad charge $400 for the old battery or a recell costs $500 and you bought it for $1500 think if you ask for a grand a buyer might think twice when they can buy a new one for $1500 with a battery warranty, so Rich is probably right about asking for half price.

That '17 battery is an issue. It's 48v, but capacity was upped for '18 giving the newer bikes a little better range. Not sure how you plan on using it, so that may or may not be an issue for you.

I would vote for no more than half of the original price. Maybe less depending on condition.

Are you buying? Or selling?

As an aside, I bought a new Specialized CrossRoads Elite in 2016 - has maybe a hundred miles on it - the top end one with carbon fork and Deore shifters, it's a super nice bike. They were about $700 new, I think I paid pretty close to that, maybe $600. It's a poor candidate for a conversion to ebike so I bought a new bike and put the old one up for sale. Started at $350 - per the bike-values site - no bites. Kept lowering it every few weeks for several months now. It's at $250 and still no bites. Wow, what a bike for $250! I guess I'll keep it. 🤣
And we have two college campuses within a few miles, and probly a million bike riders in the neighborhood!

Thanks for the replies. I am thinking of buying the bike. I would of course ask the seller about how the battery was stored. The ad's been up for a month. Figure I'll arm myself with pages of evidence (the first being Rad's website showing replacement batteries being $400 and unavailable) and talk them down to $700. But first I have a Ride1Up 700 step-through coming this weekend for my wife; if she decides it's not for her, then it will be mine.

Sounds like a good plan to me!
