We all know short run carbon fiber frames fail too often

Everybody that reads bike forums knows short run carbon fiber frames have a horrible record.
Now submersible operator James Cameron reports he told the CEO of Oceangate, the Titanic submersible company, the same thing. https://www.npr.org/2023/06/23/1183975136/james-cameron-titanic-titan-sub Told him to use steel or titanium. He also refused a free ride in the craft.
Boeing does okay with the 787 fiber body airplane. There were a lot of tests. Airliners get crack tests periodically. Big run bike brands like Cannondale do okay with carbon fiber. There were a lot of prototypes tested. Oceangate declined to have their craft tested by the deep dive certification process. No discussion of interdive crack tests (sonograms). Navy heard the implosion Sunday week ago.
Whoopsy! Sorry dudes! Big waste of effort and taxpayer dollars.

Boeing has been so consistently screwing up since their merger with McDonnel Douglas that I avoid flying on their airplanes whenever possible (which is always, up to this point). Check out the Netflix special on Boeing's woes.

I still have my Kestrel 500 Sci from 1994 or so..
Still the most comfortable TT bike that I own & ride infrequently.

Do I have concerns that it might crack & fail?
Not really, I don't train hard or race anymore, just casually ride on my own for pleasure.
Not putting the frame into much stress, nor off-pavement.
