Trouble charging a brand new Specialized Turbo Vado SL 5

Hello all,

I have literally just got this new bike out of the box and it isnt charging! Power cable seems to work but when i plug it in the light just flashes red and the bike isnt charging!

Any ideas would be gratefully received!

You should decidedly talk to your LBS. Something is very wrong.

Yeah I do believe you might be right! Was hoping there might be a "simple" fix but I agree a trip back to the shop is required...

Another user @GuruUno had reported a similar issue but I am not sure what the resolution was in his case. Probably replaced the charger at the LBS.

I purchased a new charger, solved my problem, still waiting, waiting, waiting for LBS to "exchange" the defective one.

Thats really interesting thanks.. perhaps its worth checking the charger then to make sure its not that. Certainly an easier fix then a battery change. Cheers @GuruUno
