Trek Dual Sport 2 Mid Motor

Attached are some pics of the cabling below bottom bracket. I think the Bafang Mid Drive BBS02 will work. I am open to any mid drive packages.

I am converting a Trek Dual Sport 2. I ride on flat asphalt. I am moving to Colorado and will be riding 20-40 mile asphalt/gravel trails.

I really want some assist for hills. I am new to eBikes and new to the forum.

Any advice or if you notice some problems, feel free to comment.

If you keep the gears, you don't need a mid drive to climb hills. I climb hills all the time in low gear on my 1500w geared hub.
Plus I don't have to worry about getting stranded if my drive components malfunction, I can still drive home with throttle alone. Can't do that with a mid drive !
