I think the idea of the TowWhee rope is to distribute the energy expenditure of long rides or uphill rides more evenly between two riders with different levels of endurance. The leading biker partially tows the rider lagging behind, giving them some of their energy output. It essentially should allow someone to take riders with less experience or higher endurance on lengthier rides if it works in practice. Some reviews seem to find it useful, so I'd be curious if anyone has experience using it.
