Hi All. I have a FAT26 500w and would like to know what Torque this ebike produces?. Have messaged ECOTRIC but no reply on this question, so i thought i'd try the Ecotric Forum.
Kind regards.
Andy

The advertised torque specs promoted by manufacturers and sellers are mostly fantasy. An ebike would need to be tested on a dynamometer. Sellers don't do that, or reveal how they arrive at the numbers they promote.

This pretty much illustrates how ridiculous the numbers are.

Motorcycles are required to use standard SAE methods, that have to be certified by the USDOT. Ebikes do not have these requirements.

The only thing that really matters is whether an ebike does what the owner wants it to do.

Hope you are enjoying your new bike!

Loving the new bike J.R. which one do you have?.
I really like the look of the Bison, but cant get it in the U.K yet. The FAT26 has become quite popular as most of the ebike sellers are out of stock of it.
Got mine of an Ebay seller.
You got any good tips J.R?

I don't have an Ecotric, but have read some good things here about them. Enjoy the ride! Most hub drive bikes seem to fall in the 40Nm range, if that means much. I have a buddy with a 500 watt geared hub and his system tops out at 1030 watts. Plenty of power for the hills in mountainous Pennsylvania!

Thank you J.R. the Yorkshire Dales are a good test for my Ecotric.
Thanks for the info though J.R
